Classroom of the Game returning

The Kootenay ICE has announced that the Classroom of the Game presented by Cranbrook Kia will be available for the second straight season.

Cranbrook Kia is the presenting sponsor for the initiative for the 2018-19 season. As part of the sponsorship, Kia will donate 340 youth tickets to the program.

“We are extremely excited to sponsor the Kootenay ICE Classroom of the Game program this year,” explained Mitch Tibbo, General Manager of Cranbrook Kia. “We feel that being able to offer children a chance to get out and see the games with their friends is something they may not get the opportunity to do and can go a long way into setting a great fan foundation for the team in the coming years.”

“It’s a great initiative by [Matt Cockell] and his team at ICE Sports Group to recognize this and make sure it’s part of their home games,” Tibbo added.

Classrooms in the East Kootenay can apply to become the ICE Classroom of the Game by filling out a form under the Classroom of the Game tab at www.kootenayICE.net. Following that, a member of the ICE staff will contact a representative of the classroom to coordinate a game date and other specific details.
