College closing some campuses for the day
College of the Rockies is the latest large institution to announce closures and cancellations due to the ongoing blizzard.
The college has just announced it is closing the Cranbrook, Fernie and Creston campuses today. The Kimberley, Invermere and Golden campuses are remaining open.
David Walls, President and CEO of College of the Rockies said the three campuses are being closed for the day “due to the continued snow accumulations and the worsening road conditions.”
“Classes are expected to resume at all campuses on Tuesday. Please exercise extreme caution when driving home today,” Walls stated.
