COTR/UBCO agreement opens new pathway to BA degree
College of the Rockies is pleased to announce a new transfer agreement with the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO) that will provide students in the Associate of Arts program with a clear, streamlined pathway into UBCOs Bachelor of Arts degree.
Graduates of the Associate of Arts program who meet admission requirements will be eligible to transfer directly into the third year of UBC Okanagan’s Bachelor of Arts program. The agreement ensures increased mobility for students and expands their opportunities to pursue upper-level university studies.
“We are excited about this block transfer agreement as it reinforces our commitment to developing strong and in-demand academic pathways within our region,” said Stephanie Wells, Dean, University Arts and Sciences. “By collaborating with UBC Okanagan, students have more choice, more flexibility, and a solid foundation for completing a university degree while remaining close to home.”
Starting at College of the Rockies offers students an affordable, supportive, and academically strong beginning to their university journey. With smaller class sizes, personalized attention, and lower tuition and living costs, students can build confidence and develop essential university-level skills close to home.
The new COTR/UBCO transfer pathway allows them to take advantage of this strong foundation before seamlessly transitioning into the Bachelor of Arts program at UBCO, combining the strengths of a smaller college with the opportunities of a leading research university.
