CP Holiday Train returning to region Dec. 12 to 14

Canadian Pacific Railway’s Holiday Train is returning to the East Kootenay on Dec. 12 to 14.

The Holiday Train will arrive in Pincher Creek, Alberta at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12 before continuing west to Coleman, arriving at 12:40 p.m. (east of railway crossing south of 17th Avenue between 69th and 70th Streets).

The Holiday Train will reach Sparwood at 3:10 p.m. (at 367 Pine Avenue behind leisure centre) and depart at 3:45 p.m.

The train arrives in Fernie at 4:45 p.m. (700 – 1st Avenue behind old CPKC station) and departs at 5:30 p.m.

The next stop is at Jaffray at 6:45 p.m. (CPKC tracks across from Community Hall), departing at 7:15 p.m.

The final stop for the day is at Cranbrook at 8:45 p.m. (25 Van Horne Street (CPKC station parking lot).

Dec. 13 9:45 a.m. 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Creston, B.C. CPKC tracks at Millenium Park (across from RCMP station)

The first stop for the train on Wednesday, Dec. 13 is Creston, arriving at 9:45 a.m. before heading to Castlegar and Nelson.

From there the train doubles back to Cranbrook on Dec. 14 and heads north to Radium Hot Springs, arriving at 6 p.m. at the Forster Road crossing.

The train’s final stop Dec. 14 is Golden, arriving at 9:15 p.m.

Scheduled to perform at all the above stops are Tyler Shaw and Keisza.
