Credit Union Day marked with $20,944 in local donations
On October 16, Kootenay Savings Credit Union (KSCU) celebrated Credit Union Day by donating $20,944 to local charities and community organizations throughout the East and West Kootenay, with funds from its beloved CareWear program matched by the Kootenay Savings Community Foundation.
KSCU employees contribute $1 a week to the CareWear program, and all branches and departments get to select a cause (or two) to donate towards each year.
Kootenay Savings also partnered with Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society on October 8 for a Soup DayFundraiser.
The soup was generously donated by Our Place Restaurant with more than $1,600 raised for the Hospice Building Fund.
