Debris Bin coming to Wardner and Osprey Landing
The East Kootenay FireSmart Program has an upcoming event in Osprey Landing and Wardner starting on April 22.
This event intends to encourage prioritizing the removal of dead and down branches, needles, debris from roofs and gutters, and clearing the 10 m closest to your home of any fuel that may ignite during a wildfire.
A Community Debris Bin will be set up from April 22 to May 2 on the private trail to the boat launch, closer to the old mill.
Materials accepted include:
tree limbs under 13 cm in diameter;
needles;
leaves;
grass;
other brush-type debris;
Please do not drop off:
Garbage;
construction materials;
treated wood;
disposal materials;
root balls;
limbs over 13 cm in diameter.
This event is for residents of Osprey Land and Wardner.
