The Kimberley Dynamiters are marching forward in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) playoffs after sweeping the Columbia Valley Rockies in the first round.

Brayden Schwartz opened the scoring 3:15 into the second period with his second goal of the playoffs. Jaden Rusznak netted the insurance marker, the first of his three-goal night.

Piet Mierau made 36 saves for Columbia Valley, including saving all 14 first-period shots he faced.

Rusznak led the Dynamiters with five goals and nine points in the series.
