Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting is alerting the traveling public about freezing rain conditions across the East Kootenay.

Mainroad East Kootenay along with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure are recommending that non-essential travel be avoided on numbered routes.

Side roads may also become slippery in freezing rain conditions, please drive to conditions and use caution when traveling on area roads.

Mainroad crews are out plowing and applying anti- icing material please allow room between you and a plow truck.
