Golf season rushing forward
We are nearing that awesome time in the East Kootenay when golfing and skiing seasons briefly overlap.
Fairmont Hot Springs Resort has announced the opening day for both Riverside (pictured) and Mountainside golf courses will be Good Friday, March 29.
Local ski hills are all slated to close around the end of the first week of April, except Fernie.
Panorama Mountain Resort – April 7; Kimberley Alpine Resort – April 6/7; Fernie Alpine Resort – April 14.
Remember each resort features fun season-ending parties and specials.
Back to golf, Windermere Valley Golf Course (18 holes) and nine-hole courses Coy’s Par 3 Golf Course and Setetkwa (north of Invermere) are often the first courses open in the region, so check with them directly, along with all 21 regional courses.
