Local federal NDP candidates’ debate Feb. 8 in Cranbrook
Candidates for Columbia–Kootenay–Southern Rockies NDP nomination will debate at Royal Alexandra Hall in Cranbrook on Saturday, February 8.
NDP nomination candidates will debate in Cranbrook to help decide who will represent the party in the new federal riding of Columbia–Kootenay–Southern Rockies in the next federal election.
The event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.
The nominees vying for the candidacy are:
Kallee Lins, executive director of the West Kootenay Regional Arts Council and Keith Page, City of Nelson councillor and local small business owner.
The debate will take place Saturday, February 8, at 7 p.m. MST at Royal Alexandra Hall, 57 Van Horne St. South, Cranbrook.
NDP members in Columbia–Kootenay–Southern Rockies will cast their votes in the nomination race on February 27. To vote in the nomination race, members must have been in good standing as of January 13, 2025.
The next federal election will take place no later than October 20, 2025.
