May in the East Kootenay
Like most months nowadays, May blazed past.
It blazed by because we actually got away for a small vacation – a trip home to visit family in Winnipeg.
Looking at the photos below I gather the rest of May was all about gardening, being grateful and then slightly sick of the rain, a wee bit of drinking and some friends’ going away party was visited by what I believe was a bushy-tailed wood rat or perhaps a mutant bat.
Despite the shortened month, we managed to get to all four corners of the East Kootenay and, as May was a wet one, we were left with crummy shooting conditions. Of special note, we wish the District of Sparwood a hearty congratulations on turning 50 last month.
