Meant 2B Loved holding Auction for the Animals

Online auction runs November 15 at 8:30 a.m. to November 29 at 8:30 p.m.

Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society is excited to announce the return of its annual Auction for the Animals, running online from 8:30 a.m. on November 15 to 8:30 p.m. on November 29.

This year’s fundraiser features an incredible selection of items and experiences generously valued at over $6,500 donated by local businesses and supporters—all to help care for animals in need in the Cranbrook and Kimberley region.

This year’s auction highlights include:

  • $1,500 gift certificate for new tires from Kal Tire;
  • Two full-day lift passes to Fernie Alpine Resort;
  • One-night stay and 18 holes of golf with power cart at St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino;
  • Fully refurbished laptop computer;
  • Plus dozens of other prizes—local gifts, services, handmade items, wellness packages, pet items, and more.

“All proceeds stay right here in our community and go directly toward veterinary care, food, and supplies for animals in our foster system,” said Ruth Billmann, President. “It’s been one of our busiest years yet. We currently have over 30 animals in care, and we continue to receive calls every day for help.”

With no physical shelter, Meant 2B Loved relies entirely on foster homes, donations, and community support to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome vulnerable cats and dogs. Fundraisers like the Auction for the Animals are essential to sustaining this life-saving work.

The auction will run on the Rescue’s website and can be found at meant2blovedpetrescue.com/auction

“Even if you don’t bid, sharing the auction with friends and family makes a big difference,” says Billmann. “Every dollar raised helps us say ‘yes’ to more animals who need us.”
