Cranbrook RCMP responded to a fatal ATV accident near Rosen Lake on Labour day.

On September 3, Cranbrook RCMP received a call to an ATV collision near Jaffray.  The driver, a 51 year old female, was deceased on scene and the passenger was airlifted by STARS Air Ambulance to Foothills Hospital with serious injuries.

Investigation revealed the driver of the ATV attempted to ascend a steep incline and was unable to maintain momentum.  The quad came down the hill and the operator died on scene.

Both riders were experienced and both were wearing personal protective equipment at the time of the incident.
