Cranbrook and Kimberley RCMP have noticed an increase in construction site thefts over the past couple of weeks.

These thefts appear to include building materials and supplies, equipment and high end tools.

The RCMP is strongly encouraging builders and businesses with active construction projects and sites to take every effort possible to ensure the security of their supplies and equipment.

There are number of security services available in the city and RCMP encourages builders to consider using these services to conduct overnight building site security.
