The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) board of directors this morning unanimously returned Rob Gay and Wendy Booth as board chair and vice-chair.

Electoral Area C Director Gay has been RDEK board chair since 2011 and a board member since 2005.

“I am honoured to be re-elected as chair for the coming year. I really enjoy this job and I will continue to do my best for this board and the people we serve,” Gay said.

“I thank my fellow directors for their confidence in me and look forward to continuing to work with Chair Gay and the board in the coming year,” she said.

Electoral Area F Director Wendy Booth, named Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) president last month, has also been vice-chair the past five years.
