Spring has finally made an appearance in the East Kootenay and its once again time for our sweeping program to take place on all highways and side roads.

Starting Monday April 8, sweeping will take place along Highway 3 Cranbrook to Kingsgate, and Yahk to Carrol Creek. Highway 93/95 Skookumchuk to Fairmont and side roads, Columere Park and Highway 93, Elko to Grassmere and side roads, Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting reported today (April 4).

Expect a slow moving operation with possible single lane alternating traffic. Check www.drivebc.ca before heading out. Please slow down, obey traffic control signage. Watch out for and respect roadside crews.
