Researchers seek to determine rural community resilience
Researchers with the Rural Community Resilience Project out of the Centre for Rural Health Research at UBC are interested in understanding how rural communities in B.C. have been impacted by disruptions such as COVID-19, wildfires and floods, and some of the factors that can help communities exhibit resilience in response to such disruptions.
With that in mind, researchers are asking for help from the public.
“We have prepared a survey on this topic and would be very appreciative if you could distribute it through your networks,” said Dr. Jude Kornelsen, associate professor, Department of Family Practice at UBC, the principal investigator on this project.
“The findings from this research will help us understand rural community resilience in B.C., and how we can recommend system interventions that will increase the capacity of rural communities to respond to future challenges.”
If you a few minutes, please help the researchers out by filling out this survey.
