Rockies’ Godley top KIJHL forward for February
The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) is pleased to announce its Stars of the Month for February.

Godley had an excellent month for the Rockies, helping them clinch a playoff spot with seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points — a 2.12 points-per-game average. The Calgary native averaged 21:51 of ice time and finished the month +8.
Five of Godley’s goals came on the power-play, and he assisted on four game-winners (Feb. 6 vs. Fernie, Feb. 14 vs. Creston Valley, Feb. 21 vs. Kimberley, Feb. 27 vs. Golden). He also recorded six multi-point games.
Godley finished the season leading the Rockies in scoring with 51 points in 42 games while setting a new personal high with 34 assists.
Defenceman — Declan Pocock — Williams Lake Mustangs
The Williams Lake native helped the Mustangs win five of eight games in February, collecting two goals and 13 assists for 15 points while averaging 23:46 of ice time and finishing +15. Both of Pocock’s goals came on the power-play.
Pocock assisted on the opening goal in a 10-0 win over the Sicamous Eagles and added an assist on the insurance marker in a 4-0 win against the 100 Mile House Wranglers.
He closed the month on a six-game point streak with 15 points, including three three-point performances. It’s Pocock’s second Top Defenceman selection this season after also earning the honour for December.
Goalie — Jac Carli — Castlegar Rebels
Carli won four of his five starts in February, stopping 201 of 210 shots for a 1.57 goals-against average and a .957 save percentage.
All four victories came during a stretch from Feb. 6 to Feb. 20. That run included a 39-save shutout against the Grand Forks Border Bruins on Feb. 17, which followed his selection to the KIJHL Team of the Week. Carli also turned aside 37 shots in a win over the Beaver Valley Nitehawks for his final victory of the month. On Feb. 28 against the Nelson Leafs, Carli filled in for Evan Leggett, who was credited with the win, and saved 22 of 23 shots in 40 minutes of action.
In 27 games this season, Carli finished 11-9-0 with a 2.91 GAA and a .920 save percentage, along with two shutouts.
Rookie — Shiva Singh — Chase Heat
