SD5 Board Notes
The following is a summary of School District No. 5 (SD5) Board of Trustees’ motions carried during the November 14 board meeting held in Cranbrook.
Advocacy
That the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 calendars be distributed to stakeholders for the required 30-day public consultation process.
Finance/Operations/Personnel Committee
That the board approves the cameras to be purchased and installed in two of the Cranbrook busses.
That the board approves the School District Statement of Financial.
Information (SOFI) report, June 30, 2017 as amended and to submit the report to the Minister of Education and to make the report available to the public.
That the board approves the Trustee Compensation Remuneration increase as per the stakeholder recommendation.
General Motions
That the board makes a donation to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Hamper program in the amount of $1,500 in Cranbrook and $1,050 in Fernie. This represents a donation of $150 on behalf of each of the School District No. 5 trustees.
