The following is a summary of motions carried by the Southeast Kootenay (SD5) School Board of Trustees during the April 12 and May 10 meetings, held via Zoom.

General
That the Board appoints Doug Mitchell as ad hoc rep to Key City Theatre Committee in the absence of Trustee Turner.
That the Board approves the Secretary-Treasurer’s recommendation to open joint use bookings in SD5 facilities to community user groups as per joint use agreements and subject to provincial guidelines.

THAT the BAA course synopsis for Mindfulness and Yoga 12 be forwarded to the May 10, Board of Education meeting for approval.
Policy
THAT the Board accepts revisions to Policy 19 Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.
Student Services
THAT the District Principal of Student Services surveys stakeholders and presents a report of pros and cons on the three-year pilot of the SELC program at the May Committee meeting.
General
THAT the Board approves three readings of the Trustee Election Bylaw No. 2022.
THAT the Board approves first reading of the Trustee Election Bylaw No. 2022.
THAT the Board approves second reading of the Trustee Election Bylaw No. 2022.
THAT the Board approves third reading of the Trustee Election Bylaw No. 2022.
