Second fundraiser supporting JoeAnna’s House coming

For the second year, a family-friendly FUNdraiser is in the works in communities across British Columbia. With the goal of having more than 100 lemonade stands held all on the same day in support of JoeAnna’s House in Kelowna, the Good Lemonade Day event will officially be held on Saturday, June 3.

The event was first organized in 2022 by a group of Kelowna volunteers who wanted to design a creative and fun event that is community-driven and encourages children and youth to think of others. Last year’s event raised more than $17,000 for JoeAnna’s House, a home away from home for those travelling to receive care at Kelowna General Hospital.

In the inaugural event, Good Lemonade Day saw 70 lemonade stands hosted across our province! The rave reviews came in from parents and kids alike – everyone revelled in the fun atmosphere and the opportunity to support a community cause.

The goal of this year’s event is to inspire 100 lemonade stands to be hosted on June 3 between 11-3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded weekly to new registrants, and all participants will receive a free Good Lemonade Day starter pack that includes two one-of-a-kind t- shirts, lemonade mix, balloons and a sign.

All participants who complete a lemonade stand will be entered into a draw to win a Family Getaway prize package at their choice of any Prestige Hotels and Resorts location in B.C. The deadline to register is May 1.
