Sheep Creek area wildfire under attack
The BC Wildfire Service is today (July 23) tackling a wildfire in the Sheep Creek area.
An estimated 4.1 hectares fire is burning about half a kilometre west of Island Pond Road and about four km northwest of Premier Lake.
At this time BC Wildfire Service is not reporting a suspected cause of the fire, the largest so far in the 2020 fire season in the East Kootenay.
