Shred Kelly coming to local and nearby stages

It’s still Snowing Sideways for Fernie’s Shred Kelly, currently touring to showcase their latest album Blurry Vision, released on Oct. 20.

The band is wrapping up the year with a handful of local and nearly local shows, including Saturday, December 16 in hometown Fernie at The Northern Bar & Stage (tickets at the door).

The folk-rock band performs at Creston’s Frisky Whisky on Friday, December 22 and ring in the New Year at Cranbrook’s Encore Brewing Company on Sunday, December 31.

Shred Kelly is also performing in Lethbridge, at Owl Acoustic Lounge on Friday, December 15 and at Canmore’s The Drake Inn on Thursday, December 21.

Blurry Vision delves deep into the overwhelming world that surrounds us while searching for glimmers of hope. The album reflects on the band’s ability to confront the complexities of existence with both vulnerability and resilience.

Through their songs, Shred Kelly paints a picture of dark times illuminated by slivers of light.

The band has released five singles from the album, including “Lost Without You,” “Another Place” (released Sept 21), “Days We Have Left” (released Aug 24), “Nothing For A While” (released July 6), and  “Cracks in the Finish” (released May 25).

Emerging from the majestic landscapes of the Canadian Rockies, Shred Kelly is a powerhouse band that seamlessly blends elements of alternative, folk, and rock music.

With a captivating live act that leaves audiences in awe, they have become a mainstay in the Canadian music scene. But it’s not just their energetic performances that set them apart—Shred Kelly’s heartfelt songwriting strikes a chord with listeners, connecting deeply as each band member brings their eclectic musical influences to the table, shaping the group’s unique musical direction.

Shred Kelly features Tim Newton on vocals, banjo, guitar; Sage McBride on vocals, keyboard; Ty West / guitar; and Ryan Mildenberger drums.
