Snowfall warning for East Kootenay
Snowfall, with total amounts of about 10 cm is expected for the East Kootenay.
A low pressure centre forming over central Washington State will deepen and move northeast into the Kootenay region this morning, Environment Canada reported.
Snow, heavy at times, will begin early this morning over East Kootenay. Cranbrook can expect to get five to 10 cm, but locally snowfall could be as high as 15 cm near Kimberley.
As the low continues northeast, snow will ease off this afternoon.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
