Telus Community Ambassadors donate to hospice
The East Kootenay Telus Community Ambassadors have donated $1,107 towards building a hospice home in the East Kootenay.
Telus Community Ambassador initiatives are funded locally by garage sales and provincially by the Telus Friendly Future Foundation. Funds from the Telus Future Foundation are split equally between the eleven provincial clubs.
Each year, the East Kootenay club donates their portion towards one of East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s (EKFH) current health care projects. This year, they have elected to support the Hospice Home.
Their community work also includes providing baby bags for newborns and premature babies in regional hospitals, providing backpacks and supplies to schools, and sharing birthday chocolates and a monthly cake with residents of the FW Green Long Term Care Home.
