Letter to the Editor
To federal party leaders Mark Carney, Pierre Poilievre, Jagmeet Singh, and co-leaders Elizabeth May and Jonathan Pedneault:
I am writing to urge each of you to commit to preserving and strengthening the CBC if you win this election.
In these times, more than ever, the CBC is vital to the integrity of Canada, a dependable source of information that connects us to each other as Canadians, and helps us as individuals to maintain our own integrity and sanity in a world gone crazy.
Please commit to increased government funding to support, sustain and expand the CBC — it is essential to Canadian identity, resilience, and sustainability. I will be voting for a candidate who makes this commitment.
The CBC connects all of us as members of the community of Canada.
