U18 Curling team thanks community on way to nationals
Kootenays Team Reynolds is heading off to Timmins, Ontario to represent B.C. at the Canadian U18 Curling Championships.
The team practices on Saturday afternoon and their first game is Sunday night (see the full schedule below).

“While we were excited to win the BC Championships, the cost for us to travel to Timmins seemed daunting. However, the support we’ve received has quite frankly been overwhelming. We owe a big thank you in particular to Kimberley Curling Club, Fernie Curling Club, Cranbrook Curling Centre and all of their members for the generous support, the team stated on social media.
“We are very fortunate to have the support of our season long sponsors Affordable Floors Ltd, The Hearing Loss Clinic, Lineman Communications Ltd, Larry A. Reynolds Legal Counsel, New Dawn Developments Ltd., Kimberley Alpine Resort.
“In addition, we want to thank Rotary Club of Kimberley BC, Wasa Lions, Rotary Club of Cranbrook Sunrise, 3300 Club (Fernie), Mark Creek Lions, Creston Curling Club, Giv’r Shirt Works, Big Magic Design, and moody bee who stepped up in a big way to help us out as well.
“There were many individuals across the province who either bought raffle tickets or made donations to the team – Thank you so much!
“We are so proud to represent our communities in the East Kootenay (and B.C.)!”
