Please be advised that Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting crews are operating a grader on Highway 3 between Elko and Fernie.

“Motorists should use caution as this type of equipment is a slow moving vehicle. Mainroad is in the process removing compact ice and snow,” the highways contractor stated in a public notice.

Please give Mainroad crews plenty of space to conduct this work.  And please drive to the conditions and watch your speed.
