Elkford Fire’s quick response saves building
A quick response by Elkford Fire Rescue today resulted in a building being saved by fire.
Elkford Fire Rescue responded to a condo fire at 775 Balmer Crescent earlier today.
“The building was evacuated and the fire was extinguished. An Emergency Support Services reception centre has been initiated and operating out of the Elkford Fire Hall (2300 Balmer Drive) for registration to those affected,” the department stated on social media.
“The property has been handed back to the strata ownership. The strata will inform residents when the building is safe to reoccupy.
“The quick actions of our fire crews ensured life safety and property conservation. Our hearts go out to those affected,” Elkford Fire Rescue stated.
