Elkford implements social distancing at district facilities

The District of Elkford values the health and safety of staff and citizens and is closely monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

As stressed by provincial and federal health authorities, social distancing is a key preventative measure in reducing the spread of the virus.

As such, the District of Elkford is closing all offices and facilities to public access, effective today, March 17 at 4 p.m. until further notice. This includes the District Office, the Community Conference Centre, the Recreation Centre, the Aquatic Centre, the Public Works Office and the Fire Hall.

Public access will be limited to electronic communications via phone and email. We encourage you to contact us electronically with any inquiries, payments, or applications. The closures will impact facility bookings, meetings and events, and we ask for your patience while members of staff contact facility users and groups regarding any applicable refunds and actions.

The District of Elkford will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and inform residents of any further changes to District operations and services.

We encourage you to visit this website for current information and links regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

We assure you that district operations and services will continue and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time as we work together to ensure the wellbeing of the community
