Teck announced today that a new five-year collective agreement has been ratified by employees at its Fording River Operations, replacing an agreement, which expired April 30.

“We are pleased to have negotiated a new collective agreement that is fair to employees and supports the future of our Fording River operation,” said Dean Runzer, General Manager, Teck Fording River Operations.

The agreement covers approximately 920 unionized employees at Fording River, represented by the United Steelworkers Local 7884. The mine is located east of Elkford.
