Josephine Falls trail temporarily closed
The District of Elkford this afternoon announced that due to active logging by CanWel in the area, the Josephine Falls trail is temporarily closed until further notice.
This closure is for public safety and will remain in place until CanWel advises the district that the work is completed. Visit www.canwel.com or call 1-250-417-9361 to learn more.
“Note that the land being logged is not property of the District of Elkford and the logging being performed is not a District of Elkford initiative. For these reasons, unfortunately we cannot provide the community with an estimate for how long this trail will remain closed,” the district stated on social media.
“For your safety, we do ask that you please respect all signage and abide by any instructions that the forestry crews may provide while you pass through the area.
“We appreciate your patience while we wait for this trail to reopen and encourage you to check out some of our other amazing local parks and trails in the meantime!”
