Power outage planned for Elkford
BC Hydro is alerting customers in Elkford that a power outage is planned for Sunday, May 29.
“We need to switch off power in your area for about six hours while we conduct system maintenance. To keep our crews and the public safe, power must be switched off while we complete this important work,” BC Hydro reported in a public alert.
The outage, to occur between 2 and 8 a.m., will impact all of Elkford, including Highway 43 south to Bursato Road.
“To protect your equipment from damage during the outage, please turn off all lights, electrical heaters, major appliances and unplug all electronics. We’ll restore power as soon as we can,” Hydro commented.
