EMS Food Drive sets new record
The Salvation Army Fernie shared “a great big thank you” to the people of Fernie and local Emergency Services and volunteers for their part in the EMS Food Drive that took place Thursday, November 20.
A new record of 5,980 pounds of non-perishable food items was generously donated along with $550 in cash donations, collected by 65 local amazing volunteers from: BC Ambulance Service, Fernie Fire Department, Fernie Rotary Club, Mountainside Church Youth and Parents, and Salvation Army volunteers!
The need for food security is ever increasing, but so is the wonderful sense of community that brought us all together to make a real difference in people’s lives. Thank you all.
