Coal Creek Road reopening today
Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure this morning announced they will re-open Coal Creek Road, at Fernie, at 4 p.m. today (June 15).
Coal Creek Road had been closed since June 10 for motorist safety, due to high water in the area causing a potential threat to the infrastructure.
“We would like to thank all motorists, agencies and other stakeholders for their patience with this necessary safety precaution,” Mainroad stated.
