Daniel James McFadyen stars in next Wednesday Social
Join us Wednesday, August 6, for a fun-filled community celebration with live music, food trucks, a kids craft tent, DJ beats, and so much more from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Fernie’s Station Square.
Opening the evening is Tailgator, an alternative folk duo (Logan Plessis and Linden Gigliotti), blending traditional folk, bluegrass, and blues with modern influences.
They’ve been performing across B.C. and Alberta and are preparing their debut EP for summer 2025. Inspired by artists like John Prine and Dallas Green, their music aims to evoke emotion and thought without being confined by genre.
Our headliner will be rising indie-folk artist Daniel James McFadyen.
McFadyen has sold out major venues across Canada, including Toronto’s Great Hall and Halifax’s Marquee Ballroom, drawing audiences in with his engaging, story-driven shows.
His 2023 EP Songs to Show Your Friends, produced by Quinn Bachand, marked a move from his folk roots to more melodic, introspective songwriting.
