The Fernie Child Care Society provides daycare services for up to 28 children from local families. Providing a safe nurturing environment where children from 10 months of age to five years can learn, grow and flourish the daycare is Fernie’s only nonprofit, charitable, licensed childcare centre.

Operating since 2009 with the mandate of offering affordable licensed childcare, community support is essential to its sustainability.

As part of the centre’s short and long-term planning financial and in-kind donations from the community are currently being pursued. Charitable receipts are available.

This coming summer the centre is excited about the possibility (pending grant funding and renovation contractor availability and support) of moving to Max Turyk School in order to provide an even better child care experience to both the children and parents.
