IAFF Fernie Local 2827 is proud to be hosting the IAFF Fire Ground Survival (FGS) Course this August long weekend.

This nationally recognized program is designed to prepare firefighters for mayday situations through hands-on training, critical thinking, and survival techniques.

This course is being led by our very own IAFF Fernie Local 2827 members and is open to Fernie firefighters as well as members from surrounding departments. It’s an incredible opportunity to train together, share knowledge, and strengthen our region’s fire service capabilities.

A huge thank you to the BCPFFA for supporting this course and allowing us to utilize the FGS truck, trailer, and props. Their commitment to firefighter safety and training is making a real difference.
