Late in the afternoon of August 25, Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR) responded to an injured mountain biker in the Mt Fernie Provincial Park network of trails.
The rider sustained significant injury to his upper leg and hip.

Fernie SAR members were able to reach the rider via ATV and UTV where he was evacuated and transferred to BC Ambulance.
