Fernie residents are once again invited to take part in Fernie on Fire, the annual Christmas tree burning fundraiser.

The event is taking place Saturday, January 3 at 5:30 p.m. adjacent to the Fernie Aquatic Centre.

Folks can drop their trees off at the city public works yard before the event or take them to the event.

Proceeds from this year’s Fernie on Fire are going to Elk Valley Snow and Avalanche Workshops Society.
