Griz Days back in full this weekend
Fernie is the place to be this weekend (March 3 to 5) as the legendary Griz Days returns to full form.
The three days are packed with fun events, sports, the Griz competition, lumberjack show and the Griz Days Parade (pictured above), starting at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 4. The parade starts on 7th Street and runs along 2nd Avenue, finishing on 4th Street in downtown Fernie.
On Sunday head to Fernie Alpine Resort for the always funny and exciting Raging Elk Dummy Downhill (pictured right) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Strictly for fun, this competition features imaginative and hilarious “dummies” on skis launching themselves off a gigantic jump beside the Timber Chair.
