Grizzly and cubs reported near Fernie
WildSafeBC Elk Valley reports that a grizzly bear and two cubs were reported by Montane Adaptive Trail at 7:30 a.m. today (May 13).
The yellow arrow on the map above indicates the approximate location.
Remember, bears travel great distances to search for food, WildSafeBC noted.
When you choose to recreate in grizzly bear country be prepared. Make noise to avoid surprise encounters and have bear spray accessible just in case.
