Miina headlining next Wednesday Social
Come together to celebrate live music in Fernie’s Station Square August 13 for the next Wednesday Social.
Enjoy an evening filled with great company, delicious food trucks, a kids’ craft tent, a lively beer garden, and so much more from 5:30-9 p.m. The socials are free and for all ages.
Opening the Evening is Tennyson King. Tennyson is an award-winning folk musician from Hong Kong and Canada with a charismatic stage presence and magnetic energy.
Performing songs in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese on kick drum, Zhongruan, and guitar, he captivates audiences with positivity, interactive tunes, and playful road stories. His folk-rock sound blends earthy roots, pop, and subtle psychedelic touches that get crowds on their feet.
This week’s headliner will be Miina, a new musical project led by frontwoman Laura Mina Mitic and her longtime collaborators from the six-piece band Carmanah.
Working with producer Gus Van Go, they’ve distilled Carmanah’s essence into a sound infused with fresh inspiration and musical maturity. Their energized performances deliver rich harmonies paired with skilled musicianship.
