Public art roundtable following Artisan Fair Dec. 8
Join in December 8, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., at The Arts Station in Fernie for the Holiday Artisan Fair.
Browse while sipping on coffee or mulled wine, and pick up some unique holiday gifts crafted by local artisans. Come by to pick up paintings, prints, candles, macramé, pottery, jewellery, printed cards, and phone cases.
The fair will be followed by a discussion on public art at 6 p.m. and a gallery reception at 7 p.m.
The Arts Station will be hosting a discussion on the topic of public art and its effects on the community. The discussion will centre around the nature of public art, be it community-driven or professional, its effect on business, the ideal location for it, and whether a permanent or temporary structure is most suitable in the community.
All are welcome to participate and share their opinions.
