Rotary officially launches 2025 Griz Pin Fundraiser

Rotary Club of Fernie members joined The Griz to kick-off Rotary’s annual Griz Pin fundraiser with the sale of the first pin to Mayor Nic Milligan.

For over 30 years, the Rotary Club of Fernie has proudly partnered with the Fernie Chamber of Commerce Griz Days, using Griz Pin sales to raise funds for local initiatives, community groups, and non-profits.

“Griz Days is a longstanding community tradition, and Rotary is proud to participate and be a supporter,” said Cindy Pearson, President of the Rotary Club of Fernie. “Funds raised this year will support the Fernie Food Bank, local non-profit organizations, and the Rotary Scholarship program.”

The special-edition pins can be purchased at local businesses, the upcoming Skijoring event, and at a variety of Griz Day festival events happening Feb. 28 – March 2.

Only 4,000 pins are available for sale at $5 each until March 3. The winning pin number will be drawn March 5 and the holder of the winning number will be $1,000 richer!
