The Fugitives featured in tonight’s Wednesday Social
This evening’s Wednesday Social in Fernie’s Station Square features The Fugitives.
A folk collective headed by songwriters Adrian Glynn and Brendan McLeod, the band has toured extensively through Canada, Western Europe, and the UK.
They’re joined by banjo player Chris Suen (Viper Central) and violinist Carly Frey (The Coal Porters).
Over the past 12 years, they’ve earned a reputation for unforgettable live shows, brimming with complex harmonies, infectious storytelling and top-notch musicianship. As the CBC has it: “This show is simply brilliant”. Performance highlights include major folk festivals across Canada, headlining slots in overseas Americana festivals, and a 2019 sold-out run across Germany.
The beverage garden will be stocked with Fernie Brewing Beer, Lonetree Cider and B.C. wine. Make sure to bring your ID in order to get a wristband for 19+ attendees.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with an opening act, food trucks and craft activities for the kids. The event runs to 9 p.m.
The Fugitives will go on at 6:30 p.m.
