WCS featuring Northern Beauties August 8
Bluegrass-infused contemporary Western folk music will highlight this week’s Wednesday Concert Series at Fernie’s The Arts Station.
Calgary’s The Northern Beauties perform August 8 from 6:30-9 p.m., with social time beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Station Square.
Wielding an unmistakable brand of Western Folk, Calgary’s Northern Beauties have now carved their name into the western Canadian musical landscape. The harmonies of vocalists Todd Stewart and Craig Aikman are a natural blend and the new line up embodies what Stewart calls Western Folk – the distinct, bluegrass-infused contemporary folk sound of which the band is now considered to be a progenitor.

No need to book or buy tickets – just show up and enjoy the tunes on the deck at the Arts Station on 1st Avenue. The music is free and everyone’s welcome!
