January is Family Literacy Month!
Family Programming
Storytime (ages three to five years) – Tuesdays 11:15 a.m. to noon. Stories, singing and activitirs for preschoolers and their caregivers.
Toddlertime (ages 0-2 years) Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:15 a.m. Singing, simple stories and fingerplays for babies and their caregivers.
Children’s Activities for School-aged children
Tuesdays 3:30-4:45 p.m. Knits, Knots & Yarns. Drop-in crafting for ages 8+. Learn the art of knitting while listening to the wonderful stories of The Little House on the Prairie.
Kids Coding Club – Tuesdays 3:45-4:45 p.m. – Registration REQUIRED. FULL This program is in partnership with CBAL and is for kids 8-10 years old interested in a fun way of understanding basic coding skills. Max sixchildren per session. Register by emailing [email protected]
Kids’ Read it First Book / Movie Club
Wednesdays 3:45 -4:45 p.m. For ages 10+ A book club with a movie ending. Drop-in. Books available at the library in early January. This month’s book: From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. Movie screening with popcorn on Wednesday, January 25 from 3:30-5 p.m.
LEGO Builders Club
Thursdays 3:30-4:45 p.m. Registration REQUIRED. New challenge every week, for ages seven and up. Register by emailing [email protected]

Pizza League for ages 13+
Thursday, January 19, 6-7:30 p.m. Drop in for pizza and discussion about “Tech Teens”.
Adult Programming
Tea and Talk Book Club : Friday, January 27 at 1:30 p.m. ‘Born on A Tuesday’ by Elnathan John. All are welcome. Copies of the book are available from the library.
Walkie Talkie : Wednesday, January 25 at 10 a.m. “ The Miniaturtist” by Jessie Burton. We will meet at the Library front steps and walk along along the river path and chat as we go. Copies of the book are available from the library in early January.
Stitch and Bitch – Wednesday, January 4 - Drop-In Knitting crocheting and any other yarny endeavour on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. Please enter using the back door.

STORYFEAST : Family Literacy Day
FRIDAY, January 27 – We will have an open house with a variety of on going activities for all to enjoy. The scheduled events are as follows:
11:15 a.m. ABC Storytime for All ages
12:15-1:30 p.m. FREE Alphabet Soup
3:30-5 p.m. Scrabble, Alphabet Craft, storytelling, letter pancakes, crafts and more.
