Coal Miner Days is returning to Sparwood June 5 to 11.

Coal Miner Days (CMD) is Sparwood’s community celebration that has something for everyone from sporting events to bounce houses and everything in between.

CMD proceeds have been raised to support: Lilac Terrace expansion, new Sparwood Skate Park, Raise a Child UP, Sparwood EDC Committee, Sparwood Food Bank, Search & Rescue as well as sporting groups in the community.

Coal Miner Days are packed full of exciting events fun for the entire family. This year’s events will once again be week-long during the second week of June.

The focus for the event continues to be about building community spirit, lending a helping hand and getting involved all while showcasing our community.

Stay tuned for more information about this year’s festivities that include Carnival events, Food Trucks, Street Market, Fireworks, Vehicle Evacuation, Demonstration, Bike Rodeo, Baseball Tournament and so much more.

Event organizers recently announced that multi album recording artist Craig Moritz will be this year’s Cabaret headliner on June 10.

Advanced tickets will be on sale in May.
