Community Hall elevator now complete
Patrons of the Sparwood Recreation Centre will now have improved accessibility to the Community Hall with the completion of the new lift, located in the main foyer of the arena.
The lift will be able to accommodate the movement of people and goods from the main floor of the foyer to the Community Hall ensuring all residents, regardless of age or ability, can safely and comfortably access District spaces.
The District of Sparwood would like to sincerely thank Columbia Basin Trust for supporting this project with a $50,000 grant through the Recreation and Community Accessibility for Children Program as well as the Social Planning and Research Council of British Columbia for a $25,000 grant for this project.
